Archer taken ill
Guwahati, July 26: Olympian Jayanta Talukdar of Assam was admitted to hospital with yellow fever in Delhi on his return from Columbia where he fell ill during participation in the third World Cup archery tournament.
Archery Association of Assam president Jayanta Boro said Talukdar was admitted immediately after his arrival on Wednesday and that Talukdar was stable.
Sepak takraw teams: The Assam teams for the third East Zone Senior Sepak Takraw Championship and the 16th sub-junior nationals to be held in Imphal on July 28 and 29 and from July 28 to 31 left for Imphal today.
Archer named: Assam archer Dipul Boro, who is with the Central Reserve Police Force, will represent India in the traditional long bow event in the World Police and Fire Games at Belfast in Ireland from July 29 to August 11. The Guwahati archer is the lone archer from India to represent the nation.
