Bite, Sip & Chill To Nirvana

With soulful music playing in the background, a dimly-lit path leads you to a 25ft-high meditating Buddha at Nirvana, the new lounge bar in Park Plaza off Gariahat Road. Just what you need after a long day at work.

“Buddha symbolises peace and happiness. The entire ambience has a very cool feel about it,” says Mukti Gupta, managing director of Mukti Group, which manages Park Plaza on behalf of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. “The motifs are Oriental. We wanted to create a place with a lot of greenery,” adds city-based architect Vinoo Chadha, who has conceptualised and designed Park Plaza.

The 1,200sq ft lounge bar, on the second floor of the hotel, will serve food and beverage April 27 onwards. The bar counter, done up in acrylic against an aquamarine wall, has inbuilt lighting. It will serve classic cocktails, whisky, wine and beer. The menu comprises Far-East cuisine as well as contemporary dishes.
