PARTY

Who: Arjun Kapoor & Ranveer Singh

Where: Shisha, the party address at 22 Camac Street

What: The after-party celebrating the wrap-up of the month-long Calcutta shoot of Gunday by Yash Raj Films.

When: 10.30pm to midnight on Thursday.

What they did: They danced, they sang and they stripped — Gunday-style! “Ranveer was all pepped up and dancing even as he entered Shisha while Arjun was more relaxed,” said a source. But once they got into the groove, both danced like no one was watching! There were around 40-50 cast and crew members of Gunday as YRF had booked all of Shisha for the bye-bye bash.

What they danced to: It was retro all the way! First up, tracks like Jumma chumma to get them into the mood. It was not long before Arjun handed over his mobile phone to DJ Girish asking him to play two unreleased tracks from Gunday. The film that chronicles Calcutta 1971-88, with Ranveer and Arjun playing wagon breakers-turned-dons, has four songs. “Two have been choreographed. One is Tang tang and the second is the title track Jashn-e ishq. The look is ’80s — rustic and grungy,” said Caesar, who along with Bosco is choreographing the songs of Gunday. Despite his injured foot, Ranveer ruled the floor. “Both Arjun and Ranveer lay down on the dance floor, then danced on the speakers and moved to the choreographed steps of Gunday. It was like a competition between the two on who could dance better,” said a source. And they danced non-stop for more than an hour. No wonder they call them Gunday! Picture by Anindya Shankar Ray
