I’m available for IPL: Gambhir

Calcutta: In what could be a major relief for reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders, captain Gautam Gambhir spoke of his availability for IPL-VI, saying he was suffering from just a “mild jaundice.”

The opener asserted that he would be back on the field in the next four to five days. “I AM AVAILABLE FOR THE IPL. It’s a mild jaundice, hoping to be good in 4-5 days time,” Gambhir tweeted.

Gambhir was all set to replace the injured Shikhar Dhawan for the fourth and final Test against Australia at the Kotla, till being indisposed with jaundice. He also missed the last two matches for Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 Trophy zonal leg.

Meanwhile, the Knight Riders launched their new brand campaign “One Team. One Pledge” for the forthcoming season, which begins from April 3 at Eden Gardens, with the defending champions taking on Delhi DareDevils. The new visual campaign builds on the team anthem “korbo lorbo jeetbo”.
