Madhyamik scripts

Sixty answer scripts of the Madhyamik history examination were found on a rickshaw at Noapara in Barrackpore on Thursday. Police said an examiner who lives in the area had been taking papers for evaluation and forgot the bunch. The rickshawpuller submitted the answer scripts at a police station. The papers were handed over the examiner, who had filed a missing complaint, in the presence of the board representatives.

Fake passport

A 21-year-old Bangladeshi, Mohammed Zakaria, was arrested by immigration officials at the airport on Thursday after he was caught trying to board a Dubai- bound flight with a fake Indian passport .

Assault arrest

A 24-year-old man was arrested on Thursday morning on the charge of sexually assaulting a minor neighbour. Police said Mohammad Mohin, a resident of Radhanath Choudhury Road in Entally, was arrested following a complaint lodged by the parents of the seven-year-old girl.

Head in vat

The severed head of Mansur Ali Mollah, found dead in Tiljala on March 12, was found in a vat on Thursday. Police said the vat was about 30 metres from the spot where the body was found. A 41-year-old man, Kaher Mollah, was arrested on Tuesday for the murder.
