AGP delegates

Guwahati, March 20: An AGP delegation met leaders of three Opposition parties in New Delhi today and urged them to oppose the Constitutional Amendment Bill to be brought by the Centre to implement the land-swap deal with Bangladesh.

Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, accompanied by three MPs of the party — Biren Baishya, Kumar Dipak Das and Joseph Toppo — met leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav and CPM general secretary Prakash Karat today and sought their support to oppose the bill in Parliament.

India had signed the deal with Bangladesh in 2011.
