Suman Raj Entertainers will hold two rounds of auditions for Chance for Dance at Fun Planet in Dhanbad, with the first round scheduled on April 5 and 6.
The second round will be from April 14.
“Chance for Dance is being organised with a view to provide a platform to the budding dancers,” said Suman Raj, assistant choreographer of dance guru Saroj Khan.
After the coal capital, the audition will move to Jamshedpur where it will be held from April 8 to 10. Next stops are Daltonganj from April 12 to 15, Bokaro on April 17 and 18 and Ranchi from April 19 to 22.
“Altogether 15 dancers will be selected for the semi-final, the date and venue of which are yet to be decided,” said Suman Raj.
The finalists will get an opportunity to match steps with none other than choreographer Saroj Khan, who will be the chief guest at the finale to be held at Khel Gaon in Ranchi on May 18. Khan will be joined by Dharmesh Yelande of Dance India Dance (Season 2) fame.
“Interested applicants can participate in solo, duet and group competitions,” said Raj, adding that entry forms cost Rs 300 each.
