Manager succumbs

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) manager, attacked near Bazaar Samiti FCI godown on Sunday, succumbed to injuries at Patna Medical College Hospital on Monday. A youth died in the attack.

An SUV with six occupants had run over Krishna Kumar Thakur (58) and injured three others in the incident.

“Thakur succumbed to his injuries this morning. No arrest has been made in the case. Police raids are on,” said senior superintendent of police Amrit Raj.

Ashok Kumar, Rajendra Prasad and Kanchan Kumar are undergoing treatment at PMCH. Prime accused Manilal Yadav is Prasad’ brother-in-law. Both are contractors.
