Calcutta, March 18: CPM veteran Abdur Rezzak Mollah today praised Mamata Banerjee in the House for announcing a bill to reserve 17 per cent seats for OBCs in higher education.
“The chief minister deserves praise for taking an initiative in introducing reservation of seats for OBCs in higher education,” Mollah said.
Mamata had on March 6 announced that she would introduce a bill to reserve 17 per cent seats for OBCs in higher education but without reducing general category seats.
