Boarders of Sardar Patel Hostel on Wednesday continued with their protest against the killing of Patna College student Rajesh Kumar for the second consecutive day.
Demanding immediate arrest of the six men responsible for the murder of Rajesh, they took out a protest march in Bhikna Pahadi around 11am on Wednesday. The protesters forcefully shut down the shops in the area.
“All the accused persons are residents of Chai Tola. The police can easily question their families and arrest them. But the cops are doing their job very slowly. Our agitation would continue till all of them are arrested. We want justice for the Patna College topper,” a boarder of Sardar Patel Hostel said.
The situation came under control, only after the police promised the accused would be arrested soon. “We are conducing raids in several areas. The six men would be nabbed,” deputy superintendent of police (Town) Manoj Tiwary said.
