Farewell with dance & delicacies

- Seniors turn nostalgic, juniors shower love on outgoing batch

The final-year students of the business management and computer application department of Sri Arvind Mahila College had a blast at their farewell on Tuesday.

The seniors became nostalgic remembering their three-year journey at the department and thanked their principal for all the valuable suggestions.

The juniors also presented titles like Miss Punctual, Miss Personality, Miss Versatile, Miss Charismatic and Miss Arvind Mahila College to the outgoing batch students.

Principal Asha Singh told the students: “I will miss you all. You have been living under our tutelage so far. Now, that you are set to fly, I can only shower my blessings on you. Wish you all the best for your future. Just remember one thing, whatever you do, just give your best and leave the rest to God.”

The juniors danced to tracks like Go Go Govinda, Desh Rangila, Sajna Le Karle Party and Naino me sapna. They also arranged for a special menu for the seniors that included litti-chokha, chowmein, veg manchurian and chat.

Anamika, a final-year student of the department, said: “It was a wonderful bash. The juniors had taken care of every minute detail. I really liked the way the stage was decorated with marigolds and roses.”

One of the juniors, Nagma, said: “We were preparing for this farewell party for the past two months. On Monday, we waited till 8 in the evening, giving final touches to the arrangement. But our hard work has paid off, as our seniors enjoyed a lot.”

Priya was awarded Miss Arvind Mahila College. Anamika, another student, received Miss Versatile and Miss Punctual went to Nishi. Tanushree grabbed two titles — Miss Personality and Miss Charismatic.
