Calcutta: Prayag United SC, on Monday, reached the semi-finals of the IFA Shield as they edged past ONGC 2-1 in their last Group A match at the Kanchenjunga Stadium, Siliguri.
United SC had taken the lead through Costa Rican World Cupper Carlos Hernandez’s goal in the 35th minute. But ONGC drew level through Jatin Singh Bisht three minutes before the breather. However, Mohammed Rafique netted the winner for United SC in the second half.
East Bengal have already moved into the last four stage, having collected nine points from three outings.
