High heels damaged my feet, says Parker

Los Angeles, March 11 (PTI): Actress Sarah Jessica Parker has said wearing high heels for years has damaged her feet permanently.

The Sex and the City star has revealed she can no longer wear high heels, according to the Examiner website.

“I went to a foot doctor and he said: ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there... You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there,’” she said. Parker, 47, said that for a decade, working 18 hour days, she almost never took her shoes off.

“For ten or so years, I literally ran in heels. I worked 18-hour days and never took them off. I wore beautiful shoes, some better made than others, and never complained. So I got shoes from there and the bottom of the shoes aren’t leather, they are plastic, so I slipped a couple times, twisted my ankle.”

The physical effects of wearing high heels have been known for some time.
