Endeavour succeed

Imphal, March 5: Endeavour XI blanked Kingfisher 2-0 in the 1st Zenoh Corporate Football Challenge 2013 at Tabungkhok in Imphal West today.

Mangalnganba pushed Endeavour ahead in the 16th minute of play to take the first half in their stride.

Continuing their good show, Endeavour XI struck the second goal through Ch. Lilachandra Singh in the 53rd minute for the victory today.

In another match, Apunba Fitness Centre thrashed Mayol XI by 4-0 goals.

Kh. Rani fetched the opening goal in the 11th minute and later, Y. Tomba Singh came up with a hattrick to seal the Mayol teamís fate.

Under-14 cricket: Youth Welfare Club Langthabal registered a 57-run victory against Uripok Cricket Club at Khuman Lampak sports complex today.

YWC Langthabal posted 150 runs with Ng. Bikramjit cracking an unbeaten 62 runs. In reply, Uripok Cricket Club were bundled out for 93 runs for 10 wickets from 11.4 overs.

Karate meet: The All Guwahati Karate-do Associationís 11th all-Guwahati karate-do championship, which was scheduled for March 10, will be held on March 17 instead.

Medals: The karatekas of Dakshin Kamrup Karate Club of Mirza bagged seven medals in the Muslim Ali Hazarika 1st All Assam Open Karate Championship of the All Style Karate-do Association, Assam, held at Kamalpur mini stadium on February 16 and 17. The medallists include Manoj Das, Kalyan Das, Kalpa Narayan Das, Tarali Das, Tapatya Deka, Arup Rabha and Kalyan Das.
