Kim becomes dad in ‘secret’

Tokyo, March 5: North Korea may have a new communist heir after its First Lady gave birth in secret late last year, according to reports.

South Korean government sources have reportedly brought to an end months of speculation surrounding whether the wife of North Korea leader Kim Jong-un recently gave birth.

Photographs of his wife Ri Sol-ju have been pored over meticulously by media around the world in an attempt to determine whether the wife of the communist state’s leader was recently pregnant.

The arrival of the fourth generation of the world’s most famous dynastic dictatorship has now been confirmed, according to media in South Korea and the US.

“North Korean authorities may have either induced Ri to go into labour at the end of last year or have her child through caesarean section in order to bear a child in 2012, which marks 100 years since founder Kim Il-sung’s birth,” one South Korean source said.

The gender of the baby is not known, prompting speculation that it is most likely to have been a girl due to the absence of official announcements.
