Two employees of a Kadamkuan gas agency were robbed of Rs 3 lakh near Jagat Narayan Road under the jurisdiction of Kadamkuan police station on Tuesday afternoon.
A police officer at the police station said: “Around 1pm, Sumit and Ajay Sharma, both employees of the gas agency, were on their way to a bank on Exhibition Road on a motorcycle to deposit cash. Three men on another motorcycle intercepted them and snatched a polythene bag containing the money. One of the attackers hit Ajay, who was riding pillion, on the head with the butt of a pistol when he tried to resist. No breakthrough has been made in the case. Investigations are on.”
