In a city where nothing seems to be going right — from bazaar blaze on Wednesday to a break in the bridge on Sunday — all our hopes are pinned on Priyanka Chopra. The Bolly babe-turned-Bong bombshell for Yash Raj Films’s Gunday being shot in Calcutta, seems to be single-handedly lifting the sagging morale of the city with her oomph quotient. Yes, she does have the boys Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh for company, but our eyes are only on PC. Last week, at Belekhali off the EM Bypass and at Maniktala Market, in the role of a Calcutta girl of the ’70s, she was seen sporting the desi look, with pastel tangails properly pleated and pinned and a oh-so-not-there strappy blouse. With some strings attached, her beautiful back was on full display thanks to the hair all pushed to one shoulder. A pretty flower clip and dangling earrings made for non-distracting finishing touches.

On Sunday, PC channelled the flower-power look while shooting in front of the Calcutta High Court. Polka dots: Check. Crop-knot top: Check. Wild-child cleavage: Check. High-waist trousers: Check. Bell-bottom flare: Check. Big hair: Check. Hairband: Check. Miss Chopra ticks all the Seventies style boxes and does a Bobby on the streets of Calcutta.
HOT HOT SUPERHOT!
