Sri Sri Academy celebrated its third anniversary with a cultural programme on February 19. The students staged dance performances and sang hymns. Experts also spoke on the art of living and parents’ role in education. The chief guests were percussionist Bickram Ghosh and his wife Jaya Seal Ghosh. The third issue of the school magazine was released at the event.
Science Day
Around 1,200 students from 17 city schools took part in the National Science Day celebrations at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum on February 28. The event began with a walk from Park Circus Maidan to the museum, flagged off by US consul-general Dean Thompson. “More than 500 kids took part in the march. The turnout was more than we expected,” said E. Islam, the director of BITM. The children also took part in a painting competition on saving water.
