A Calcuttan who flew in from Delhi on Sunday found the lock on a registered bag broken and toys stolen from inside it.
Mayaram Agarwal, a resident of Middleton Street, lodged a complaint with airport police station and the airline, SpiceJet. “When my father picked up his three registered bags from the conveyor belt, the lock on one was broken,” said Mayaram’s son Kamal. Toys Mayaram had bought for his grandson were not inside when he opened the bag at home. SpiceJet officials said Mayaram had not checked his bag at the airport when requested to do so.
