Guwahati, Feb. 27: South Point School annexed the Mumnindra Chandra Paul Guwahati Sports Association inter-school under-15 cricket tournament beating Presidency School by three wickets in the final at Dispur Parade Ground here today.
In the 30-overs-a-side match, Presidency School elected to bat and were restricted to 190 for seven and South Point boys achieved the target losing seven wickets in 21.4 overs.
Saahil Jain of South Point missed a century scoring a quickfire 94 facing only 65 runs. He was later named Man of the Match.
Abhijit Roy also contributed a 20-run knock. Viraj Dey of Presidency picked up two wickets for 33 runs.
Earlier, Dipankar Chouhdury topscored for Presidency with an unbeaten knock of 68 runs and Viraj Dey scored 37.
Subham Dutta and Joydeep Singh of South Point bagged two wickets each giving away 33 and 36 runs respectively.
