Milan: Inter Milan have been fined 50,000 euros ($66,100) after fans racially abused their former player Mario Balotelli during Sunday’s derby with AC Milan, Serie A’s disciplinary commissioner said in a statement on Tuesday.
Balotelli, himself, has been fined 10,000 euros for an “insulting gesture” towards Inter fans at the end of the 1-1 draw.
Milan was also fined 10,000 euros for an insulting banner that its fans unveiled.
Balotelli played for Inter from 2006-10, helping the club to a treble in 2010. He already has four goals for Milan after joining from City. (Agencies)
