Calcutta: Legendary fast bowler Joel Garner will contest for the post of vice-president of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), according a media release, issued on Tuesday.
The other nominee for the post is Emmanuel Nanthan.
Jamaica’s Whycliffe ‘Dave’ Cameron will be the sole challenger against incumbent Dr Julian Hunte, when voting members cast their ballot to select a president at its annual general meeting (AGM) in Barbados on Wednesday.
“The deadline for nominations to be received for the respective posts was Friday, February 22 of last week,” the release stated.
The voting members of the WICB and also the shareholders have two votes each.
