Two directors of Jeevan Suraksha Group — Ashok Chakraborty and Arju Acharjee — were remanded in 14 days’ police custody when they were produced before a local court here on Tuesday.
They were produced in the court in connection with a case registered against them at CID police station for allegedly taking public deposits without having the Reserve Bank of India’s permission.
