Taken to task

Hard candy to swallow

So what she is Madonna?! Instagram has threatened to shut down the singer’s photo-sharing account because she has violated their “community guidelines”. The Hard Candy singer has posted the letter on the photo-sharing website without offering a comment. It reads: “We ask that you: don’t share photos that aren’t yours [and] don’t share photos that show nudity or mature content.” Instagram didn’t specify which guideline the singer broke, though she recently posted a shot of her cleavage.

HE’LL HACK THE HACKER

Motormouth Jeremy Clarkson’s Twitter account has been hacked and the petrolhead has vowed to exact revenge! “Luckily I have acquired a special set of skills over many years. I will find them. And I will kill them,” he said. After his account was hacked, spammers advertised weight-loss techniques on his account, which has 1.3 million followers

Two Games to kill boredom

Talking Tom

Furry Tom is looking lost. Animate him by saying anything… yes anything. And hear him throw those same words back at you, but in a squeaky voice. Kids love Tom and adults find him amusing (and/or irritating!). But what makes him so purrlicious? Language. That’s right, you can speak in any language. In the new version you can customise his appearance and make him appear in the guise of a police officer or cowboy. (Available on Android and iOS)

Temple Run

Guy Dangerous, Scarlett Fox, Barry Bones and friends are on the run after stealing an idol from a temple. They are being chased by a tribe of monkeys. Your chosen character has to run while negotiating randomly-generated obstacles and collecting coins. A sequel to the game was recently released and it’s so addictive.

Two APPS to make you look cool

Badoo (Android, iOS)

Be in a flirty-flirty mood all the time with Badoo. Yes, it’s been around for some years now and has over 170 million users. But hey, it’s no longer restricted to London’s West End! There are users from all over the place, even your neighbourhood. The site promises the romance of a nightclub and it delivers. Chat, make friends, share interests and even date… it’s all free. Time to hook up.

FaceWash

This is a much-needed face-saver for FB users whose nightlife stories are scattered all over the wall. The desktop app created by three Kent State University undergrads goes through all your photo captions, comments and links you’ve “liked” and then deletes those employer-unfriendly entries. About time!
