Leopard attack
Sivasagar, Feb. 24 (PTI): A leopard attacked and injured a 16-year-old boy, Ananta Hazarika, at Sipahigaon in the district today. The panic-stricken villagers informed the forest department and the animal was later captured.
Man dies
Kokrajhar: One person was trampled to death and another was injured by an elephant at Nagirjuli Guabari in Baksa district on Sunday morning. The animal also damaged a few houses in the village.
Three killed
Nagaon: Three persons died in a road accident at Raha in Nagaon on Sunday. The accident occurred when a Jagiroad-bound truck carrying bamboos hit a Guwahati-bound bus.
Apprehended
Kokrajhar: Five persons, including two NDFB cadres and three linkmen, were apprehended from Koiemari in Baska on Sunday.

Mishap
Dhubri: Zakir Hussain of Tiamari village in the district, who was injured when a speeding motorbike hit him on NH 31 at Gauripur on Friday, died on the way to Bongaigaon nursing home on Saturday.
