South Point dim Gyan Jyoti

Guwahati, Feb. 21: South Point School today crushed Gyan Jyoti Vidyalaya by a comprehensive margin of 103 runs in their match of the Munindra Chandra Paul Guwahati Sports Association inter-school cricket tournament at the Parade Ground in Dispur here today.

Put in to bat, South Point posted a challenging total of 177 for nine in the 25 overs.

During the chase later, they bowled out Gyan Jyoti boys for a paltry 74 runs.

Adikh Arindam Dutta topsocred for South Point School with a breezy 55 runs while 29 runs came from the bat of Subham Dutta.

Rahul Ali of Gyan Jyoti Vidyalaya was the most successful among the bowlers. He captured two wickets for 40 runs.

Amar Joshi, who scored 18 runs, was the only notable scorer for Gyan Jyoti Vidyalaya. Joydeep Singh of South Point put up an excellent show by scalping six wickets for 16 runs.

Little Flower School will face Fairyland High School in tomorrow’s match.
