New Delhi: The National Rifle Association of India on Wednesday appointed Hungarian Laszlo Szucsak as coach for the third time. Szucsak, the renowned coach, contracted till the Asian Games, would receive a monthly salary of $8500 , sources said.
Regarded as one of the finest rifle trainers in the world, the Hungarian was India’s coach twice before, between 1998-2000 and 2004-2009. Some of the country’s top shooters like Abhinav Bindra and Anjali Vedpathak spent their formative years under Szucsak.
There was some resentment about his appointment since he had abruptly resigned from his India job in 2009 to take up a more lucrative assignment with Iran.
