Huawei Maitree Scholarship Programme 2013

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for graduate and postgraduate studies in reputed institutions in China preferably in the

emerging areas of science and technology, culture and social studies and development related programmes. Each scholarship covers full tuition fee and living expenses for the duration of study in China.

Eligibility: Candidates must be Indian citizens up to 32 years of age as on April 1 and should have a good academic track record.They also must have independently gained admission to a reputed institution in China at the time of applying.

How to apply: Candidates should submit application online through huaweischolarships.org, giving complete and accurate details about his/her school and university education, awards, postgraduate research work, professional experience (if any) and a statement of purpose. Candidates should provide references from two persons of repute, preferably academicians and teachers as well as proof of admission in a institute in China. A statement of purpose (not exceeding 300 words) substantiating the stream of study the candidate wishes to pursue should also be sent. Copies of degree and course certificates and/or marksheets and any other proof of credentials the candidate may deem important should also be sent.

ISB Young Leaders Programme

The Indian School of Business (ISB) is inviting applications from talented undergraduates to apply for its Young Leaders Programme (YLP). It is a foundation programme for outstanding undergraduates from diverse disciplines to get a head-start to their careers, by giving them an opportunity to seek pre-admission to the ISBís one-year postgraduate programme in management (PGP).

Eligibility: The candidate must be in his/ her pre-final year of graduation in any discipline. The selection process is a 3-stage one which consists of profile evaluation, analysis of academic and analytical skills, GMAT score, written essays, video presentation and personal interview. Selected candidates are required to complete one year and nine months of work experience before joining the ISBís PGP. YLP participants will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs one lakh. In addition, they will be eligible for both merit and need based scholarships of the PGP.
