Xavier’s alumni rewind, reconnect and recharge

WHAT: Sangam Reunion Dinner 2013 organised by the St. Xavier’s College Calcutta Alumni Association (SXCCAA), in association with The Telegraph, on February 9.

WHERE: St. Xavier’s College grounds.

THE MOOD: The old boys and girls of St. Xavier’s College were dressed in their best for one of the most awaited days of the year — the annual reunion dinner organised by SXCCAA.

The theme this year — rewind, reconnect, recharge — couldn’t have been more apt as Xaverians caught up with old friends, reliving their college days and exchanging contact details.

MUSIC & munch: Rajlakshmi Ghosh set the mood with her piano recital, playing popular Bollywood and Hollywood scores as well as some Rabindrasangeet. Dinner, served by 6 Ballygunge Place, was an instant hit.

Voiceover: “This evening is not just about reconnecting with old friends but also with the alma mater. I appeal to all Xaverians to come forward and help the college in realising its dreams of becoming a university,”said Father Felix Raj, principal of the college and president of SXCCAA.

“The reunion dinner is about giving back to our alma mater a bit of what it has given us,” said Firdausal Hasan, honorary secretary of the SXCCAA.
