Calcutta: Not a single Indian player featured in the ICC Women’s World Cup team of the tournament, which was announced on Monday.
Sri Lanka’s Eshani Kaushalya was the lone Asian representative in the team, which was dominated by the Australia and England players. New Zealand’s Suzie Bates, the Player of the Tournament, was named as the captain.
Captain Mithali Raj held on to her No. 1 spot while world champions Australia became the No.1 ODI team. Bates, jumped five places to claim a career-best No. 2 spot.
