Plus Two exams to begin today

Bihar School Examination Board Intermediate (Class XII) examinations will begin on Monday.

Around 8.29 lakh students will take the exams at 761 centres. The tests would continue till March 1.

Board chairperson Rajmani Singh said: “The decision to conduct Intermediate examination early has been taken following the new guidelines issued by Supreme Court and the ministry of human resource development directing all boards to publish Class XII results by June 5. The Bihar board Intermediate results would be declared by mid-April.”

To check malpractices during examination, the board has constituted flying squads comprising teachers who will make regular inspection and visit schools to supervise.

Singh said the entire examination would be videographed and the process would be supervised by the control room at the Patna board office. According to the board guidelines those students who do not have admit cards can take the examination only after their principals allow them. This is the first time that Bihar School Examination Board is conducting the Intermediate examination before matriculation.
