Raiganj, Feb. 13: Deepa Das Munshi today said she was confident that work on constructing an AIIMS-like hospital in Panishala would begin by the end of March.
“Any day before March 31 you will see some concrete activity happening,” she said.
The Union minister for urban development made the announcement while visiting the family of Abdul Karim, who was shot dead by a jawan of the Border Guard Bangladesh at Makarhat on February 10.
“I had contacted Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. He is scheduled to visit Calcutta on February 17 and is expected to take up the matter with the state government,” she said.
