Book fair sets date with capital

Women representation would be the theme of Patna Book Fair that is scheduled to start on March 13.

The 12-day fair would witness one “renowned woman” as guest convener every day. The guest would be supervising the events organised on that particular day.

At a news meet at Bankipore Club on Wednesday, the convener of the book fair, Amit Jha, said: “The fair will start on March 13. Around 750 stalls will be set up and 300 publishers will take part in the event. Oxford, S. Chand, Hind Pocket Books and Prabhat Prakashan are some of them.”

Ratneshwar Jha, the president of the Centre for Readership Development, said: “Journalists, writers and litterateurs from across the country would be part of the 12-day event. They will address book-lovers at Jan Samvad on different topics. Every day we will have different topics to discuss on,” Ratneshwar said.
