CPC dim New Star

Imphal, Feb. 12: Chingkheihumanba Polo Club (C) defeated New Star Polo Club by 4-2 goals in the first match of the 28th N. Hazari and N. Tombi State Polo Tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung here today.

In the first chukker, New Star took the lead with a goal by Paikhomba.

In the third chukker, Th. Kaoba of Chingkheihynba scored two goals to lead 2-0.

New Star drew a blank in the third chukker.

In the fourth, Th. Khomba of Chinggkheihunba scored two goals while Paikhomba Singh of New Star scored one.

In the second match, Tekcham Polo Club thrashed Eastern Students Club by 9-0 goals. M. Doren of Tekcham scored five goals in the first, third and fourth chukkers.

Eastern Students drew a blank in the first, second and fourth chukkers.

In the third chukker, M. Sanjoy of Tekcham increased the tally to seven while Mohendro Singh scored the lone goal for Eastern Students.

In the fourth chukker, M. Doren and M. Sanjoy scored a goal each to increase the tally to nine.
