CIMA Gallary
AK for RR

From drawing up the guest list to being there for her friend, Anamika Khanna did it all. “Raghavendra Rathore is a special friend! We’ve been colleagues for years and because he is in Calcutta I would obviously like to be of any help that I can be. Finally, we have an awesome men’s store. Everybody in Calcutta is starving for a men’s store! So, I am thrilled.” Her favourite Rathore silhouette? “The black bandhgala! It’s a classic,” said Sonam Kapoor’s favourite designer. And what does Sonam’s papa Anil Kapoor love about RR? “First of all, he is a great human being! And I can see that he is a true artiste. And most importantly, he is very proud to be an Indian designer. The kind of clothes he makes, you can wear to any part of the world and stand out!” Kapoor told t2 at The Oberoi Grand on Sunday afternoon.

Madhu Neotia was happy that she no longer needs to make trips to RR’s stores in Delhi or Bombay. “I have a 16-year-old son and I am looking forward to being able to order in Calcutta. His cuts are smart and royal,” she smiled. For Preeti Goenka, it’s great news for Calcuttans that the city is getting more big designers.
