Jhalak comes to ETV Bangla

A Bengali version of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the dance reality show on Colors, is all set to hit ETV Bangla in March. The local format will have 12 celebrity contestants performing salsa, bhangra, cha-cha and chhau.

Guess who will be in the judges’ hot seat? Tolly’s new bride Koel Mallick, along with Bollywood choreographer and ABCD director Remo D’Souza! Jisshu Sengupta will anchor the show, produced by BBC Worldwide Entertainment.

“I have been an avid follower of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and it’s great to see it introduced in Bangla. What makes this show immensely interesting is the fact that all my peers will now step out of their comfort zones and try dancing!” said Koel.

“Most of the celebrity contestants are amateur dancers and my job is to calm them down, be the mediator between the judges and the contestants, and make sure that we all have fun,” added Jisshu. We wait!
