Navajyoti enter final

Guwahati, Feb. 8: Former first class player Nishanta Bordoloi cracked another century to take Navajyoti Club into the final of the Spinner 10000 Jugal Kishore Newatia Bud Challenge Cricket tournament defeating River Rine Club by 119 runs in the first semi-final at Nehru Stadium here today.

Put to bat first, Navajyoti rode a 105-run knock by Bordoloi to pile up 279 for seven in the 40 overs. In reply, River Rine were restricted to 160 for eight in the 40 overs. Bordoloi was named Man of the Match.

Challenge Trophy: Ankurjyoti Club (97/2 in 14.3 overs) handed an eight-wicket defeat to Royal XI (94 all out in 17 overs) in a preliminary league match of the Servo 20th Guwahati Challenge Trophy cricket tournament at Judges Field here today.
