Calcutta, Feb. 8: Ailing tyre-maker Dunlop today told Calcutta High Court that it would deposit Rs 10 crore tomorrow, following which a division bench ordered an interim stay on the wind-up order till February 18.
“My client will deposit the amount in the court tomorrow,” Dunlop counsel Utpal Bose told Justices G.C. Gupta and T.K. Das.
Accepting the company’s plea, Justice Gupta said: “Ask your client to deposit the amount in the name of the ‘original side registrar’ tomorrow with the nearest branch of State Bank of India.”
The matter will come up for hearing on February 14 before the division bench of Justices Asim Banerjee and Shukla Kabir Sinha.
