Bokaro district got a new deputy commissioner on Thursday with 2008 batch IAS officer A. Rajkamal assuming office at 6pm.
Rajkamal took over charge from his predecessor Sunil Kumar who has been posted as the new labour commissioner of Jharkhand in Ranchi
Later, speaking to his colleagues, Rajkamal asked then to ensure that all developmental and welfare projects of the district were completed on time and to maintain transparency in their work.
Addressing the media, Rajkamal said this was his first stint as a deputy commissioner of a district but he was aware of his responsibilities.
Rajkamal said all developmental and welfare projects which were being carried out in rural areas, including rebel zones, would be completed on time and transparency maintained.
Speaking to The Telegraph, outgoing deputy commissioner Sunil Kumar said he had served the district honestly, stressing on development and welfare projects, MGNREGS schemes besides revenue collection.
