On verse: Prabha Khaitan Foundation, in association with The Taj Bengal, organised ‘Javed Akhtar — Poetry for a Cause’ on February 1. The event saw the poet-lyricist recite some of his favourite poems, including Aansu and Zoya (which is inspired by his daughter). The poetry session was followed by an interactive session where many, including fashion designer Agnimitra Paul, asked the veteran questions. Sundeep Bhutoria, on behalf of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation, presented a cheque for Rs 1 lakh to Akhtar, which was donated to Diabetes Awareness and You (DAY), an NGO. Pictures: Rashbehari Das
