Karachi: In another effort to revive international cricket in Pakistan, the country’s cricket Board has decided to construct a five-star hotel near the National Stadium in Karachi.
It would be a joint venture with the Pakistan International Airlines. The decision was taken on Tuesday, at a Board meeting with Avant Hotels (Pvt) Limited.
The PCB hopes that the hotel’s proximity to the stadium would cut down the security concerns that have put a stop to international cricket in Pakistan.
A statement from the PCB said that in the meeting, the chairman of the Board, Zaka Ashraf, chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed and Ghafoor Bhatti, general manager (Estates) PCB, were entrusted with key responsibilities for the special venture.
