University of Southampton’s law school scholarship

University of Southampton's law school is offering 30 per cent scholarships to Indian students for its LLB programmes. The programmes are recognised by the Bar Council of India.

Eligibility: For CBSE (Class XII ) and ISC students, the eligibility is 85 per cent and 80 per cent respectively. Scholarships are applied automatically by the university to students who exceed the minimum entry requirements by 5 per cent and meet all other requirements, including references and a satisfactory personal statement. English language requirements are IELTS score of 6.5 and no less than that in any component. The programme commences in September.

Cargill Global Scholars Programme

The Cargill Global Scholars Programme is a distinctive scholarship opportunity that provides financial support in addition to leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a mentorship programme.

Eligibility: First-year or second-year engineering students enrolled in one of the partner universities such as Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Delhi Technological University, Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra and The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli can apply.

Aptitude test

NIIT aptitude test

Last Date: February 16

NIIT has announced NITAT, an IT aptitude test, which will be conducted in over 200 cities nationwide on February 17, 2013. NITAT is a 100-minute objective test which will assess functional skills such as reasoning, comprehension, data interpretation and also behavioural traits, such as, result orientation and teamwork of the test takers.

Eligibility: Graduate students or those in their final-year can apply.

How to apply: Students can register for the test online by logging on to www.niit.com/NITAT or by visiting the nearest NIIT centre. The application fee is Rs 100.
