Prasad tips for players

Venkatesh Prasad gave tips to the players who attended a coaching camp, organised by Coca-Cola, at the Central Park Cricket ground, on Tuesday. The camp, held as a part of the recently launched Toyota University Cricket Championship, was attended by the qualifying East Zone teams from Jaunpur and Rewa.

Bengal selection

The Bengal selectors are in a fix over the appointment of the captain, ahead of the selection of the Vijay Hazare Trophy squad, on Wednesday.

“We’ll select the squad on the basis of availability. The captain, too, will be finalised depending on the availability of the likes of Manoj Tiwary and Wriddhiman Saha.

“In fact, we’ll have to finalise whether we’re to select the squad for the entire tournament or just for the first few matches,” said chief selector Deep Dasgupta.
