New Delhi: Hockey India (HI) finally lifted its ban on rebel WSH (World Series Hockey) league players and called up young drag-flicker Gurjinder Singh to the national team for the Hockey World League Round Two starting here, on February 18.
Named the best player in the WSH, the Punjab player wasn’t selected for the Indian team as HI took a decision not to consider rebel league players. Unperturbed, Gurjinder had gone on to dish out outstanding performances in junior and senior national championships.
