Guwahati, Feb. 4: Jorhat will take on home side Guwahati in their maiden final appearance in the J.K. Baruah Trophy inter-district (under-19) cricket tournament in a three-day affair at Barsapara Cricket Stadium here from tomorrow.
Jorhat booked their final berth, defeating North Lakhimpur by three wickets in the second semi-final at Goalpara yesterday.
Earlier, former champions and last year’s runners-up Guwahati came back from behind to clinch a 114-run victory against Hailakandi in the first semi-finalon Thursday.
Put to bat first, Lakhimpur posted 196 in the first innings and bowled out Jorhat for 138.
Lakhimpur were, however, bundled out for 84 in the second innings and Jorhat achieved the target scoring 146 losing seven wickets in the second innings.
In the first semi-final, Guwahati elected to bat and were all out for 158 in the first innings and Hailakandi scored 191 all out in reply.
