Tolly Goes Online

Mithun Chakraborty felicitates Soumitra Chatterjee before unveiling at Taj Bengal Terrace on Sunday evening. The unique web portal on Tollywood is an initiative of Arindam Sil and businessmen Pawan Dalmia and Vishnu Agarwal. “I am not a magician but I had told Arindam about three months back to work on the concept of a web page on Tollywood where anyone can log in and get information about us. Besides, I’ve always mentioned that though I live in Bombay, my heart is always in Calcutta, so henceforth if I feel homesick I will go online and feel at home,” smiled the superstar. Pictures: Sanjoy Chattopadhyaya Gargi Roy Chowdhury welcomed Mithun with a bouquet of flowers. “A lot of people have complained that there’s nothing available on Tollywood online. On expect not just reviews and interviews but updates about upcoming films and yes, gossip too!” smiled Arindam. Content of the website running in beta mode, includes trailers of Maach Mishti & More and Shunyo Awnko and chats with Srijit Mukherji and Aniket Chattopadhyay under the section Director’s Cut
“This is one of the best things that has happened to Tollywood. While there has always been so much on the Net on Bollywood, there was practically no information about Tollywood,” said Paoli Dam Sandip Ray with wife Lolita
Tota Roy Chowdhury hands over a gift to singer-turned-actor Babul Supriyo. “We’ve watched Mithunda’s films since childhood,” said the duo to which Mithun answered: “I am just 27-plus, how could you have seen my films since childhood?!” ROFL! Mithun cracks a joke which leaves Soumitra Chatterjee and Indrani Halder in splits
