Guwahati, Feb. 1: Radial Club, Nagaon, overcame Santipur AC by 50 runs in today’s Group A league match to remain in contention for a semi-finals berth in the Spinner 10000 Jugal Kishore Newatia Bud Challenge Cricket Tournament, organised by Bud Cricket Club, at Nehru Stadium here.
The only team from outside the city lost their first match against Navarang Club by eight wickets yesterday, but Santipur AC could hardly match the visitors today.
Radial remain in contention for a knockout berth depending on the result of tomorrow’s match between Santipur and Navarang. Ranji player Dhiraj Goswami (32) and Amzad Ali (32) were the topscorers for Radial while 31 runs, laced with five boundaries, came from the bat of Debojit Baruah.
