Guwahati, Jan. 31: Neeraj Tiwari shone with an unbeaten half-century in Navarang Club’s eight-wicket victory against Radial Club, Nagaon, in today’s Group A league match of the Spinner 10000 Jugal Kishore Newatia Bud Challenge Invitation Cricket Tournament at Nehru Stadium here.

The visitors, put to bat first, were bowled out for a modest total of 162 in 39.1 overs. Navarang made 166 for two in 31 overs.

Thanks to a brilliant 74 not out by Tiwari, laced with six hits to the ropes and two over them, the home side had a smooth ride to the target. He was named Man of the Match.

Apart from Tiwari, Utpal Medhi scored 44 (4x2, 6x2) and Manoj Malo chipped in with 27 (4x5).
