Salute to Chanda
I congratulate Chanda Zaveri on her amazing journey and success. It is not often that you hear such an inspiring story about an Indian (Calcutta girl who fled home & marriage at 17 returns as millionaire US innovator, January 26). I must say that she has become a role model for me. People like her make one believe in dreams, take risks and give life the best shot.

Kudos to Metro for publishing the story of Chanda Zaveri. Her life is what movies are made of. Most of us can only dream about such a life.
Hats off to her for taking the reins of her life in her hands and not conforming to the irrelevant norms of society.
Chanda is an inspiration for all women. I would suggest that she take up the cause of women. I am sure she knows what it means to be a woman in India.
I am a small-town girl with big dreams. Her story has only reaffirmed my faith in the dreams I have for myself. God bless her!

Reading the story, I wondered about life in general. Life is not same for men and women but Chanda’s tale differs! Wish you all the very best in all your endeavours.

Dear Chanda, you are a brave and a cool person. I am proud to know that people like you exist! Cheers.

This is a great story.
There were coincidences and chances that Chanda used such as the friendship with the American couple, working for a lonely elderly lady and taking the opportunity of studying in Harvard, the professor in Caltech accepting her as his daughter, and the chance meeting with Linus Pauling. Chanda identified the opportunity at each stage and worked to reach her goal.
Though she ran away to escape marriage, it did not make her bitter, rather a better person. She has come back to solve age-related problems of bed sores and skin ailments.
It is truly an inspirational story. I wish Chanda finds happiness and laughter all through her life.
When I was a student, I had read about Dr Linus Pauling and his work. A great person and such inspirational minds create more inspirational minds like Chanda. Best wishes!

I salute your courage and confidence after reading about your success story! It is amazing to know what you have achieved and that too at such a young age. I am exactly your age, a resident of Calcutta, and would love to meet you.

I can only salute this woman. I have made both my children and a lot of other people read this inspirational tale — no less a tale than those we find in motivational books. This is what fire in the belly and courage can do. I wish her all the best in all her endeavours.

Congratulations Chanda! Your story is so inspiring.
I wish you peace, happiness and prosperity. You are an inspiration to all women seeking equality. As an African American male, I too know the struggles and hardships when it comes to equality.

May Chanda achieve her $100million target. I wish her success and pray that she finds fulfilment in working for social causes. I look forward to her protein-sequencing project and would, in fact, love to contribute, given a chance.
