Two primary schoolchildren in Aurangabad district, around 120km southwest of Patna, were crushed to death by a tractor near their institution’s gate on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 9.30am near the primary school at Narari Kala Khurd village on Barun-Nabinagar road in the district.
The two victims were on their way to school when the tractor driver lost control of the vehicle and crushed the children. Six more students were injured in the accident.
Angry villagers torched the tractor and assaulted the driver before handing him over to police.
